I was fortunate to be introduced to the mature vehicle market of Hong Kong during my first year’s training. The personalized orientation and training in the Sales, Finance, and After-sales departments of Zung Fu has enabled me to acquire a sound understanding of the automotive retail industry. With a strong emphasis on professional development through formal training and individual mentorship by Group HR, the CMTS has allowed me to gain knowledge of essential management skills, new ways of thinking and business communication. It also provided me with opportunities to obtain a thorough understanding of Jardines. 

It was a sharp turn for my second year’s training though, where I directly entered into one of the largest and fastest growing markets globally - mainland China (the world’s focus). I was very excited as China has the most competitive automotive market worldwide. I had the opportunity to gradually understand and analyze the national automotive market (Southern China in particular), including the luxury and used car segments. Although it was a slow year for Mercedes in China in 2012, the confidence in the Chinese market remains high. With the two years’ training and experience in Zung Fu, I have truly realized that in any market, the core value and core competence of a company is people.

As the latest company magazine remarks -‘People inspire people’. I have deeply appreciated Jardine’s corporate culture, which places great emphasis on the development of its people, and in particular, graduates like me.
